What's the difference between Frontline Plus and Frontline Original?

There are so many flea and tick control products on the market, many of them that have similar names but how to do you which one is best for your dog?
Frontline is one of the most trusted brands for flea and tick protection for your dog. However Frontline comes in two forms, frontline original and frontline plus. So what is the difference between Frontline original and Frontline plus?
Frontline Original will protect your dog against Adult fleas only, protect against flea allergy dermatitis, Ticks (including paralysis ticks and brown dog ticks) and biting lice.
Frontline Plus however contains an extra ingredient: Methoprene that kills all stages of the flea lifecycle. Its works by sterilising the female flea so that she is unable to lay any further eggs and therefore helps to break the flea cycle. Frontline Plus for dogs will protect your dog against: Flea eggs, larvae and adult fleas, flea allergy dermatitis, paralysis ticks and biting lice. In order for your dog to be completely protected against paralysis ticks frontline must be applied every 2 weeks.
