Formulated with active medical grade Manuka Honey and Gotu Kola, Scar Balm is the ultimate go-to balm that you will use on (virtually) everything. Scar Balm assists to reduce scarring that results from wounds, injury and skin conditions by promoting cell and tissue regeneration and the correct healing and binding of skin and tissue. It actively discourages the growth of scar tissue by reducing inflammation and excess collagen production. Scar Balm also helps reduce pain and discomfort for horses and is safe enough to use on humans and other furry friends.

Scar Balm is easy to apply and can be used on a huge variety of wounds and skin conditions, such as cuts, late stage large wounds, mud fever, scald, insect bites, minor infections, rubbing, girth galls, chaffing and more. Scar Balm protects the damaged area and is great for tricky to cover or bandage areas.

What makes Scar Balm so effective?

It’s all about the potent anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and cell regeneration properties of Manuka Honey, the anti-scarring properties of Gotu Kola and healing properties of Tamanu Oil, expertly formulated in this ultimate balm.

For thousands of years Manuka Honey has been famed for its unparalled healing benefits and now modern science has proven why. Manuka honey as opposed to other honey contains Methylglyoxal. This component is what creates the magic in manuka. This is what brings the goods when it comes to the higly anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties that mean Manuka honey is nature’s best healing ingredient. Manuka honey also stimulates the immune system to increase the rate of the healthy regrowth of tissue within a wound and assists tissue to knit back together efficiently.

Gotu Kola is renowned for providing anti-scarring benefits. It’s active constituents are saponins which can inhibit collagen production which is known to contribute to the formation of hypertrophic and keloid scarring. Gotu Kola is also known to promote hair growth.

Tamanu Oil is known to contain extraordinary anti-inflammatory properties. Comparable to that of hydrocortisone but without the side effects and significantly contributes to reducing pain and discomfort. It is also rich in linoleic and oleic acids which improve skin condition.
